Ljubljana, 11 February 2011 – On Thursday, 10th February, M:Android Competition award ceremony took place at "Mobitelov center" store at Citypark shopping centre in Ljubljana. The company CEO Zoran Janko, and Chief Commercial Officer, Danilo Tomšič, congratulated the winners on behalf of Mobitel, and Mateja Kozjek, Regional Manager for the Northern Adriatic, on behalf of HTC.
The M:Android competition took place from June to December 2010, organised jointly by HTC and Mobitel, and met a great response among the Slovenian developers. Authors of applications for mobiles running on Android operation system competed for generous money prizes and other attractive awards, since the aim of the competition was to promote the participation of domestic knowledge in the development of Android applications which will be attractive to the users. The M:Android Award Ceremony was on Thursday, 10th February 2011, at Mobitel center Citypark in Ljubljana.
The first three prizes were handed to the winners by Mobitel CEO Zoran Janko, Chief Commercial Officer, Danilo Tomšič, and Mateja Kozjek, Regional Manager for the Northern Adriatic at HTC. The first prize of EUR 10,000 EUR and a visit to HTC in London was won by Tomažu Orter for his application »Prometoid«, second place with EUR 5,000 went to Mojca Ajdič for »CPP2010«, while the application »Brez frekvence« by Mediasurf came third and was awarded 3,000 EUR. The winning applications were selected by expert jury in the following composition: Tomaž Štolfa - expert for mobile applications and services, Alja Isakovič - expert for web and mobile contents, Jaka Lobe - expert for mobile and multimedia contents, Mateja Kozjek - representative of HTC, and Goran Arsenijević - Mobitel representative and head of the competition.
